Brief presentation of the institution:
The Concrete Technology Unit (CTU) was established in 1989 and has grown into a world class research Centre of Excellence. It is guided by an Advisory Committee of leading practitioners and is committed to carrying out research to the highest level.
Funding for research is widely based: research councils, government and industry. This combination provides a culture where industry and academia can move together to optimise concrete for cost effectiveness, whilst allowing flexibility for radical innovation and development.
